The Canadian rideshare service Uride has arrived in Saint John.

This expansion follows successful launches in Fredericton and Moncton and now marks the 20th city Uride operates in Canada.

“This step signifies our growing footprint across the nation. After our successes in cities like Fredericton and Moncton, we are thrilled to bring our commitment to safe, affordable, and reliable transportation to Saint John,” said Uride CEO and founder Cody Ruberto.

The app is free to download on compatible smartphones, and Uride offers features that include:

  • Unified Pricing: A single fare covers up to four passengers, ensuring fair and consistent costs for solo travellers and groups alike.
  • Safety Link Sharing: Passengers can share their real-time trip details with loved ones for enhanced security.
  • Multiple Destination Option: Enables riders to include several stops within a single journey.

Uride is offering 50 per cent off the first rides for new users with the promo code TRYURIDE.

The company is also looking for new drivers in Saint John, said Ruberto.

“For anyone is thinking of driving, like talking to people, want to help your community, and make money doing it, it is a pretty cool job that makes a huge difference to a lot of people,” said Ruberto.

Full-time drivers can earn a $1,500 weekly guarantee for the first four weeks. Part-time drivers are eligible for a $1,000 bonus after completing 50 trips within 30 days.
