Uride service will now operate in Moncton

Moncton residents will have a safer ride home with Friday’s launch of the ride-share service Uride.

This comes one month after Uride announced it was coming to New Brunswick, with Fredericton being the first city to offer the ride service.

“People are excited, and we heard from many people in Moncton that a service like this is needed, especially during the holidays,” said CEO Cody Ruberto.

“It’s critical that people have access to safe, affordable transportation.”

Uride operates in 18 communities across Canada and Ruberto says they plan to expand to Saint John before the holidays.

The app is free to download on compatible smartphones.

With the launch, passengers can use the promo code “HALFOFF” and receive a 50 per cent discount on rides until December 3rd.

New drivers can receive a $1,000 signing bonus for completing 60 trips in the first 30 days of driving.
