The 19th annual Wharf Rat Rally has come and gone.

The Digby festival has the reputation as the largest motorcycle rally in the province.

Organizer Rick Allwright says bikers didn’t just stay in Digby, many toured around the province.

“Even just taking a bit of vacation as part of it, so we should expect the entire province to receive quite a benefit from the event,” said Allwright.

He said the weather was perfect, and it was busy.

Final numbers on attendance won’t be known for another month or so.

“Saturday was one of the busiest days in the history of the event. Bikes were lined up as far as the eye could see. We had a lot of people coming in and out of town, it was a very busy weekend.”

He says planning will soon begin for the 20th anniversary.
