Staff members at the Université de Moncton have a new deal ahead of the tart of the fall semester.
The Association des employés de l’Université de Moncton – Personnel de soutien administratif et le personnel d’entretien et métier (AEUM), which represents the school’s staff, voted 89 percent in favour of ratifying a new labour contract.
“The real capital of our university is its human capital. I would like to thank the negotiating committees for their dedication, and, for us, this agreement reflects recognition of the talent of our staff members,” said Denis Prud’homme, President and Vice-Chancellor of the university.
He added that the new agreement reflects the school’s recognition of its staff and will help them offer students a high quality education experience.
The agreement goes before the university’s board of governors for approval at their next meeting on September 23 in Edmunston.
