Not only is there increased traffic due to the long weekend, construction is the Lakeside area is trying up motorists.

The City of Kenora says it’s continuing to repair a water main break in the 1st Avenue South Bridge over Laurenson’s Creek.

That means a major artery into Lakeside is not available.

Combine with that, construction continues on 5th Street South.

There have been long line ups at the 8th Avenue stop lights as a result.
