By Tim Davidson Sep 1, 2023 | 6:10 PM

A couple of special events to cap off the last long weekend of summer.

Tourism Kenora is holding Savouring Summer under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion.

Morgan Seller is the special events co-ordinator for the city and it will take place on Saturday, September 2nd.

“We’re going to be celebrating summer in September,” says Seller.

“It’s still beautiful weather.  Come down and join us.  It’s going to be 12 until 4 pm under the tent.”

Seller adds that it’s a free family event.

“There’s going to be bouncy castles, face painting, a magician, and Triple Play is joining us and they’ll be doing a fundraising barbeque.”

In the meantime, the Kenora and District Labour Council will be hosting it’s annual Labour Day Picnic on Monday.

It will take place at Anicinabe Park from 11 until 1 pm.
