As we head into Labour Day weekend, there are a few service adjustments in HRM.

According to the city’s webpage, if you have your garbage collected on Mondays, the city will be collecting Saturday morning.

Metro Transit will still be operating, except for the Woodside Ferry

On street parking will be free Monday, however, many municipal recreation facilities will be closed.

Residents are also reminded that fireworks are not permitted on Labour Day.
