Two people from Richmond County appeared in court Monday on sex-related charges involving a minor that stem back to 2020.

The charges include:

sexual assault, sexual interference, and sexual exploitation, according to the Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

53-year-old Daryl Lawrence Digout and 48-year-old Shelley Dawn Digout were arrested late last month after they were reported missing in June.

They were found July 27, in Lynch’s River, Richmond County.

Police were treating the court matter and the missing person report separately.

After their arrest in July, the two were released on conditions.

Their next court date is October 12.
