By Tim Davidson Aug 30, 2023 | 9:22 AM

The Thunder Bay Police are dealing with a case of fraud.

Police say an elderly man was asked to cough up $100,000 for asphalt work.

Initially, two men approached him saying they could do driveway repair work for $30,000.

They took him to the bank and he withdrew the money.

They indicated that additional work amounted to $100,000, but concerned family members intervened.

TBPS believes the contractors were attempting to take advantage of the elderly male, who had difficulties hearing and articulating himself.

Police asking local residents to watch out for aggressive, and possibly fraudulent sales tactics.
