Fire at historic pub in Annapolis Royal

Fire this morning at a historic pub in Annapolis Royal.

Firefighters were called to The Whisky Teller just after 8:30am Monday morning, when the 139-year-old building had flames shooting from the roof.

The two-story brick building was built in 1884 used to be The Bank of Nova Scotia, then bakery, liquor store and youth hostel before it was turned into a pub.

The Whiskey Teller says on its Facebook page they will closed until further notice.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
