Lynn Adel Oliver was working a normal shift at quality Cleaners in New Glasgow when she stepped out to get lunch and was never seen or heard from again. That was exactly 45 years ago today.

The New Glasgow Regional Police say they continue to investigate Oliver’s disappearance and are asking anyone with information to come forward. They believe that there are people out there that have information how have not spoken to police yet.

Oliver was 22 years old when she went missing. She is described as 5’5”, 105lbs, with brown hair, and green eyes. She left behind a two-year-old son at the time of her disappearance.

Police say that Oliver came across as nervous to her peers at work that day on August 25th, 1979. They say she expressed concern for her physical safety and even left one of her co-workers a note with instructions to call her mother immediately in the event that she went missing.

Anyone with information regarding those responsible for Oliver’s disappearance is asked to contact the New Glasgow Regional Police at  902-752-1941,  or you can call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090.
