Aboiteau Beach Triathlon on Sunday

By Brad Perry Aug 25, 2023 | 11:47 AM

Expect some closures on Sunday for the annual Aboiteau Beach Triathlon.

Officials say the beach will be closed to the public between 5 a.m. and noon.

Parking for athletes and spectators will be available in Lot A until 7:30 a.m.

There will also be some road closures between 8 and 11 a.m. for the 20K cycling course.

That includes Route 950 (Chemin Bas-Cap-Pelé) from Allée du Parc to Chemin Aimé Bourque, along with rue Robichaud.

Athletes will be running on the Allée des Chalets and Allée de la Plage trails.

Volunteers and RCMP will monitor the course and allow access for emergency vehicles.

Officials say the roads may be reopened early depending on when all athletes finish the race.
