The Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation has a new executive director.

Lynn McAughey is taking over the reigns.

She is a former principal in Kenora with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and an administrator with the board.

McAughey retired from the teaching profession a couple of years ago, but says the new job is a good fit, because she’s been working with families and children for the past 25 years.

The position had been vacant since early this year.

The Community Foundation is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year and says this is a critical time for them as the fall grant cycle has just opened and their charity golf tournament will take place on September 7th.
