One person died Monday after a workplace incident in the city of Dieppe.

Few details have been released pending an ongoing WorkSafeNB investigation.

However, the agency confirmed the incident happened at around 4:45 p.m. Monday.

Spokesperson Laragh Dooley said the victim was employed by Perfection Contracting.

“As this is an active investigation, we cannot share any further details at this time,” Dooley wrote in an email.

The Dieppe Fire Department confirmed it responded to an incident in the Domaine Dover Estates late Monday afternoon.

Chief Marc Cormier declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation into the incident.

“Our top priority is to respect the privacy of the individuals involved and allow the appropriate authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident,” Cormier wrote in an email.
