A Halifax police officer will not be charged in a fatal shooting.
According to the Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT), it was last August when a 911 received a call about a passenger who allegedly refused to pay taxi fare, then pointed a gun at the caller.
When police arrived at the scene, the man was not cooperating and aimed a gun at an officer.
The officer shot his gun out of self-defense, killing the man.
After investigating SiRT says the officer’s actions were reasonable, thinking his life was in danger.
