It’s Pride Week in Pictou County, and the organizers have put together a full schedule of events and activities for you to enjoy.

Things get started today and from 6-8 p.m. you can choose between a 2SLGBTQ+ book club/exchange at the Trenton Library or a Pride circus jam at the NSCC Campus in Stellarton featuring Circus FACTory. Once you’re finished, make your way over to Shaun’s Beverage Room and Lounge in New Glasgow for the official Pictou County Pride Kick-Off Party.

On Friday you can take in a 2SLGBTQ+ move matinee at the New Glasgow Library at 2 p.m. before heading over to the Virtual Zoe for pride game night.

On Saturday, be sure to visit the Caladh Marquee on the Pictou waterfront for Queer Con. The mini convention will feature crafts, vendors, drag workshops, and more. Once you’re finished there, it’s time to pick out a corsage for Queer Prom at Glasgow Square. It’s open to all ages and includes a 19+ section.

The official pride arch begins at noon on Sunday also at Glasgow Square. The march will be followed by a barbeque and social in Carmichael Park.
