Make sure to plan your routes ahead this weekend if you’re leaving Halifax. The Macdonald Bridge is once again closed for the entire weekend.
Halifax Bridges tweeted today that the bridge will close Friday night a 7 p.m. and won’t reopen again until Monday at 5:30 a.m. Crews will be doing resurfacing work on the bridge all weekend. The bike lane will also be closed from Friday at 7 p.m. until Saturday at 7 p.m. for safety reasons.
It’s the third straight weekend that the bridge hasn’t been open. Last weekend it was also closed for resurfacing and paving work and the week before that it was closed on Sunday and Monday of the long weekend for the annual bridge walk and Natal Day Parade.
There’s never been a better time to take the ferry.
