By Tim Davidson Aug 15, 2023 | 10:58 AM

Another major fundraiser for the Lake of the Woods Hospital Foundation.

Over the weekend $420,000 was raised from the 17th annual Lifesavers Dinner at the Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club.

170 people attended the gala event.

Mira Trebilcock is the executive director of the hospital foundation and says the money raised will go a long ways.

“The Lifesavers Dinner and Auction is always a memorable night that celebrates the remarkable spirit and strength of the Lake of the Woods community,” says Trebilcock.

“This year proved to be even more exceptional, and the real magic is being able to equip our health-care providers at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital with better equipment and resources to provide enhanced care for our community.”

Funds raised from this year’s event will support the purchase of the following medical equipment and infrastructure at the hospital:

o 10 Vital Signs Monitors – 3E Medical/Surgical
o Stress Test Machine – Diagnostic Imagining
o 2 LifePak15 Monitor/Defibrillator – Emergency Department (ED)
o TruMonitor ECG/Defibrillator Simulator – ED
o 2 MediDispense Units – Maternity & ED
o Wifi Enhancement & Upgrades – Information Technology
o Any additional funds will support the Core Server Infrastructure Update

Over the past month, the Hospital Foundation has raised over $600,000 from two events, including the Par 3 Charity Challenge.
