Two teenage hockey players will represent our province on the international stage.
Cape Sable Island’s Jessica MacKinnon and Antigonish’s Rhyah Stewart have made Canada’s national women’s under-18 team.
They’ll play a three-game series against Team USA in Lake Placid, starting Wednesday.
Stewart spent last season in goal for the Cape Breton West Islanders in the NS Under-18 Major League.
MacKinnon played at the Canada Winter Games for Team Nova Scotia in February.
