Multiple people ended up in the hospital on Sunday night after a three-car collision in Antigonish County.
It all happened when a Subaru travelling North on Highway 245, in North Grant, made a left turn just as a Nissan heading South was coming towards it. The Nissan tried to avoid the Subaru but ended up hitting it on its side, which then made it collide head on with a Honda Civic that was also travelling North.
RCMP responded to the accident at around 8:30 p.m. There were seven passengers in total between the three vehicles, and five of them suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were all transported to the hospital.
Highway 245 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
