Open houses planned at 2 YMCA Moncton locations

An open house on August 12 and 13 will help you to get to know the YMCA of Greater Moncton.

Tours and activities will be held at the North End location on Saturday and on Vaughn Harvey on Sunday.

Vice-President of Membership Sheriza De Guzman says memberships are up post-COVID, “We’re good in numbers but we know that we can still do more. Introducing this (the YMCA) to the newcomers, immigrants and people who just came to Moncton. We want to introduce what the YMCA of Greater Moncton is. Who we are, what we do, and who we cater to.  It’s a Day to get to know the Y.”

Y members and non-members are invited to participate in a range of exciting activities, classes, and tours.

“We are thrilled to welcome the community to the Y. We have been serving the Greater Moncton community for over 123 years and hope that the community will drop by and check us out,” says the YMCA of Greater Moncton’s CEO Zane Korytko.

Highlights will include:
Facility Tours: Explore our state-of-the-art facilities, including the fitness centre, swimming pool, splash pad, gymnasiums, and more.
Family-Friendly Activities: Families can enjoy a variety of entertaining activities designed to bring parents, children, and friends together.
Complimentary Classes: Discover the joy of learning with free classes, covering health and fitness.

De Guzman adds that if you choose to purchase a membership, it is open for use at both facilities and at other YMCA locations in Canada.

The YMCA of Greater Moncton also offers financial assistance to those who don’t have the capacity to pay for a membership.
