A chance to beautify a shoreline in Shelburne County.

Scotian Shores is organizing a cleanup of the area at Baccaro Point Saturday and Sunday.

Local coordinator Kristen Nicole says last year’s cleanup was massive.

“I don’t think we stopped that entire day, but we cleared over 18,000 pounds that day,” said Nicole.

She says they have some ATV’s and trailers lined up to haul away material, but they could always use more help.

They always find a wide range of items.

“From lobster bands and bottle caps, to lobster traps, gear, even a whole deck had floated away. You name it, we usually find it.”

It runs from 11-4 each day, the meeting point is the lighthouse.
