People in downtown Halifax were shocked today when Lower Water Street began flooding.

It was thanks to a water main break that Halifax Water says was caused by a third party.

They’ve managed to restore service back to normal in the area, but the break also caused water loss and low water pressure for people in the area.

If you’re experiencing discoloured water following the repairs, make sure to run cold water through one of your faucets until the water runs clear again.
