A 24-year-old man is facing more charges in connection with incidents across southern and central New Brunswick.

RCMP were called to a home on Route 725 in Little Ridge, near St. Stephen, last Thursday morning.

They had received a report about two people holding loaded firearms at the door of the home.

Officers responded to the scene and arrested two individuals without incident. One was later released from custody.

The second person was charged with three firearms-related offences and failing to comply with a probation order.

Mounties now allege he also broke into a seasonal residence on Route 785 near McDougall Lake, north of St. George.

The accused is also facing 10 charges in Fredericton provincial court, including theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000, flight from police, driving while suspended, driving while prohibited, and failing to comply with a probation order.

RCMP said he was remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.

“This individual is a repeat offender who has been active throughout central and southern New Brunswick,” St. George RCMP Sgt. Chris Henderson said in a news release.

“We believe that his arrest will have a positive impact for the many communities in which he was committing crime, and highlights the commitment of our members to make their communities safer.”

More details can be found on the New Brunswick RCMP’s website.
