Cape Breton’s first ever comedy festival is coming in August

Looking for laughs in Cape Breton? Look no further because the first ever Cape Breton Comedy Festival is just around the corner.

The inaugural festival will take place from August 23-26, at the following venues around the region:

  • August 23 – Festival kick off – Bras d’Or Lakes Inn, St. Peter’s – 8:00PM – $30 plus taxes and fees
  • August 24 – Vickers View Venue, Big Baddeck – 7:00PM – $30 plus taxes and fees
  • August 24 – Sandbar, Dominion – 9:00PM – $25 plus taxes and fees
  • August 25 – Cape Smokey (Lodge), Ingonish – 7:00PM – $30 plus taxes and fees
  • August 25 – Daniel’s Bar, Sydney – Contest show featuring local comedians vying for a spot on the final gala – 8:00PM – $25 plus taxes and fees
  • August 26 – C200 (main concourse) – Featuring all headlining comedians from the festival – 8:00PM – $50 plus taxes and fees.

The festival is produced by two Cape Breton natives, comedian Nick Beaton and award-winning producer Ash Young. Beaton is also one of the headliners for the festival, along with Peter Anthony, Hunter Collins, Clifton Cremo, Dan Hendricken, Kyle Hickey, Shawn Hogan, Travis Lindsay, Luba Magnus, Peter White, and more local acts.
