Remembering the three victims of last weekend’s flood

The three victims of the violent storm that caused devastating floods last weekend in Nova Scotia have been identified.

Among them are two six-year-olds, Natalie Hazel Harnish and Colton Arthur Sisco. 52-year-old father of two Nicholas Anthony Holland also lost his life. They were all washed of the road by the storm surge.

Holland had a lifelong passion for music and spent many years playing in different bands. He is survived by his partner Michelle Stewart and his two children Robie and Sophie Holland. In his obituary, his family say they are heartbroken, but thanked the search and recue teams and first responders who were able to provide them with some closure.

Harnish loved cheerleading. In her obituary, her parents say she could often be found cartwheeling around the house and describe her a shining light who could brighten up any room. They say she loved bright colours, especially purple. People who attend her funeral service next week are encouraged to wear bright, vibrant colours in her memory.

Sisco loved going to car shows with his father, Chris. He also loved to help his grandfather out around the farm and was especially fond of his pigs and ducks. In his obituary, it says his favourite thing to do was snuggle up with his mother, Tera, and eat popcorn.

Friends of the Harnish and Sisco families have set up GoFundMe pages for the parents of each child.
