Over 3,400 people from New Brunswick, P.E.I. and Nova Scotia are expected to attend the three-day Jehovah’s Witnesses convention at the Avenir Centre.
It’s the first to be held after a three-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Around 6,000 conventions will be held worldwide as part of the 2023 “Exercise Patience!” series. More than 50 of them are being held in Canada alone.
Tymon Nesciorek, spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses says, “This year’s convention theme on patience is appropriate after what we have all gone through the last few years, where we had to show patience in many aspects of our lives. Over the course of 3 days, we will see how this quality can help us succeed as individuals.”
