The MP of West Nova says the Liberal cabinet shuffle is an admission they were going in the wrong direction.

Conservative Chris d’Entremont says he’s not sure how much will actually change.

“For them, I think they needed the re-fresh. We don’t know when the next election is going to happen, it’s likely over a year away depending on how long their agreement with the NDP goes,” said d’Entremont.

d’Entremont says he’s not sure if the Liberals have enough runway to straighten out the ship in time to change their fortunes at the polls.

He’s hopeful that new housing minister Sean Fraser, who is from Nova Scotia, will help the province through the housing crisis.

d’Entremont says new Fisheries Minister Diane LeBouthillier will have a lot to catch up on, with many issues affecting people in his riding.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the major cabinet shuffle on Wednesday.
