A new initiative will help food insecurity in Clare.

A grand opening is planned tonight for the ‘Clare Share Fridge Communautaire.’

It’s happening at the Cultural Hub in Comeauville.

The fridge is designed as a ‘take what you need, leave what you can,’ and designed to address the need for food in the community.

It’s led by local chef Shane Robicheau, the Clare Food Bank, as well as many stakeholders in the municipality.

Donations will be accepted at the door tonight, and hotdogs will be served starting at 5 p.m.
