Bye bye birdie, that is what users of the social media platform, Twitter, are waking up to today.
For years Twitter has used a little white bird on a blue background as the logo for the platform.
But owner Elon Musk has changed it to “X”, posting a short video to his feed to announce the change.

In an earlier tweet the billionaire also stated “soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
This marks the latest change Musk has made to the platform since acquiring it in a $44 billion deal last year.
The new logo also falls in line with some of the other entities owned by the business magnate and investor, such as Space X, which he founded after selling PayPal to Ebay in 2002.
