Ontario Provincial Police have charged two people in two separate incidents involving stunt driving in the Thunder Bay area.

The first occurred on Monday when officers clocked a vehicle going 153 km per hour on Highway 11-17 within the boundaries of the city.

A 49 year old from Winnipeg was charged with stunt driving and placed on a 30-day Administrative Drivers License Suspension and their vehicle impounded for 14 days.

A little over 24 hours later police stopped an Ottawa woman on the same stretch of highway, this time at 149 km per hour.

But unlike Monday’s stop, this one included some illegal accessories.

Through an investigation it was revealed not only was 34 year old a suspended driver, but they also were found to be in possession of a fake drivers licence, a stun baton and cocaine.

She was released from custody, however her licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded.

Her next court appearance is slated for September 8th.
