Nova Scotians in action at the 2023 NAIG

The 2023 North American Indigenous Games are in full swing and there’s no shortage of events to take in Today.

Several Nova Scotian teams and athletes were in action this morning, with the 19U Women’s Soccer Team kicking things off with their game against Saskatchewan this morning. The 19U Men’s Softball team also played this morning, taking on Team Ontario in the first game of today’s doubleheader.

16U Girl’s Volleyball, 19U Men’s Beach Volleyball, 16U girls Beach Volleyball, 16U Boys soccer, 16U Boys Softball, and some athletes from our canoe and kayak team also compete this morning.

The afternoon and evening get even busier with 19U Women’s Basketball team taking on Minnesota at 6:00 p.m. and the 19U Men’s Basketball team facing off with Yukon at the same time.

19U Women’s Volleyball, 19U Women’s Softball, 16U Boys Box Lacrosse, 16U Boys Basketball, and 16U Girls Softball are also playing this afternoon. A handful of teams are completing the second half of doubleheaders that started this morning.
