An Inverness County man died last week after being severely injured while at work.

The Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration confirmed they are investigating a workplace death but would not provide more details as the investigation is ongoing.

RCMP officers responded to the incident at a business on Central Avenue at around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14. They say the man was taken to hospital by EHS where he later died.

24 people died in Nova Scotia while at work last year.

It’s already the second workplace death in the last two months, after an Ontario man died while working at a fish-feed mill in Truro last month.
