The Fort Frances Lakers have announced that 10 players from last year’s team are returning for the 2023-24 season in the SIJHL.

That includes Trever Sanderson (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan), leading scorer last season Ryker Watt (Weyburn, Saskatchewan) and defenseman Josh Greene (Pullman, Washington).

Local players that will suit up again are Darnell Kempf and Jack Wood.

Reid Zurkan from Kenora is also returning in the fall.

Other returnees this season will be forwards Nolan Rideout (Flin Flon, MB), Clark Scaddan (Thompson, MB),  Ian Snooks (Thompson, MB), and defensemen Branden Boress (Red Rock, ON)
