Passenger numbers on the CAT ferry are up.

Bay Ferries says they’ve sold nearly 28-thousand tickets for the Nova Scotia-to-Maine ferry.

That’s up by over 5,100 compared to the same period last year.

As of Tuesday, the vessel has carried over 10,000 passengers and 4,000 vehicles this season.

The operator says its consistent with national trends, as more US residents are coming to Canada post-pandemic.

They say the wildfires and poor weather have had some impact on travel, with 3 round-trip cancellations so far.
