Fire destroyed a home in Yarmouth County.

It happened on Meadowbrook Drive in South Ohio this morning.

Yarmouth fire chief Mike Deveau says the homeowner saw flames from their backyard before 4 a.m.

“The family dwelling was fully involved, so we determined it would be a defensive fire attack,” said Deveau.

No injuries were reported, RCMP are investigating the cause.

The Port Maitland and Lakes and District departments provided mutual aid.
