A trio of Nova Scotian dancers made history this week at the 2023 ScotDance Canada Championship Series.

12-year-old Brooke Hayne from Antigonish, 9-year-old Renee Naime from Lower Sackville, and 17-year-old Olivia Burke from Sydney each became Champions in their respective category. It was the first time in the events history that multiple dancers from Nova Scotia were named champions.

Burke also took home the Dancer of the Day award, given to the dancer who record the most points across all competitions.

The event was held in Halifax for the first time since 1991.

The 204 ScotDance Canada Championship Series will be held in Kamloops, British Columbia.
