If you are planning a dump run starting today, be advised of a detour due to a road closure.

The City of Thunder Bay has closed Mapleward Road from John Street Road to the Solid Waste and Recycling Facility for road work.

Access to the landfill will only be available via Oliver Road and Mapleward Road.

The project is expected to take one week to complete and includes drainage and repaving work.

Traffic from those who live in the work area will be the only traffic permitted.
