The province’s NDP leader is in Yarmouth today.

Claudia Chender is meeting with community organizations throughout the day.

Tonight, she’ll speak at the Yarmouth NDP’s AGM, 7 p.m. at the Brookyln Community Hall.

Local president Davie Olie says it’s an important time for New Democrats to build their presence in the area.

He says Chender has the answers on affordable housing, the environment and healthcare.

Tonight’s AGM is open to the public.
