A mobile home was destroyed by a fire this morning in Seabright.

Crews responded to reports of a structure fire in the 11900 block of Peggy’s Cove Road at around 5:00 a.m. this morning. They found a mobile home that they described as fully involved, meaning the fire, heat and smoke were so widespread that internal access had to wait until fire streams could be applied.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze out quickly had to pivot to a defensive battle as they tried to prevent the fire from spreading.

All of the occupants were able to make it out with no major injuries. The fire is considered under control now and investigators are working to determine the cause.
