You will see some big changes next time you use the Ferry Point Bridge port of entry in St. Stephen.
Infrastructure upgrades which began nearly a year ago are now complete, the Canada Border Services Agency announced Thursday.
The three primary inspection lanes and booths have been replaced with two upgraded lanes with modern booths.
CBSA said there is also an improved parking area to allow for more efficient processing by officers and improved traffic flow.
“These upgrades were essential to providing a safe and smooth border experience for travellers seeking entry into Canada,” the agency said in a news release.
Work on the infrastructure upgrades had been ongoing since last July.
