A man wanted on several warrants was picked up by Thunder Bay Police Wednesday, while he was in possession of and concealing a large knife.

Officers spotted the man just after 10:15 p.m. on Pearl Street, and after identifying themselves as police, the suspect fled on foot.

Following a brief pursuit and struggle the accused, a 38 year old Thunder Bay man was apprehended.

He faces several charges including:
• Carrying Concealed Weapon
• Resist Peace Officer
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2

He appeared in court Thursday and was remanded into custody.
