3 arrested in Bethune bust

Thunder Bay Police have arrested three people in connection to to a drug bust at a Bethune Street address Wednesday afternoon.

Members of the Emergency Response Unit, with assistance from the K9 and Intelligence Units executed a search warrant at the home just before 5:00 p.m. as part of an investigation into drug trafficking taking place in the residence.

When officers entered the home they encountered and arrested three suspects, before transporting them to police headquarters.

During the search officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, suspected crack cocaine, an undisclosed amount of cash and drug trafficking equipment.

A 43 year old Thunder Bay man, a 32 year old Oshawa man and a 16 year old male from Toronto have each been charged with:
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

All three accused appeared in court Thursday and were remanded into custody.
