Doctors Nova Scotia, the union representing more than 3,400 physicians across the province, has reached a tentative deal with the Department of Health and Wellness.
The two sides have been negotiating for the last five months and the doctors previous deal expired on March 31st, 2023.
“We have reached the best deals possible for Nova Scotia’s doctors – while also ensuring the best care for the people of Nova Scotia,” said the President of Doctors Nova Scotia, Dr. Colin Audain, in a press release.
“These contracts, if ratified, will help stabilize some of the most critical services in our province.”
The deal was presented to physicians today and they will be able to vote on its ratification from July 7th to 20th with a public announcement of the results expected on the 20th.
