One of Nova Scotia’s most celebrated heroes is coming back home next fall.
Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins are coming to Halifax on October 2nd to square off with the Ottawa Senators, who are also playing a preseason game in Cape Breton on October 1st.
Cosby is coming off a 93-point season in which he played in all 82 games for just the second time in his career. The Penguins recently hired former Toronto Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas and are looking to bounce back after missing the playoffs.
The senators meanwhile have a new owner. Toronto businessman Michael Andlauer purchased the team earlier this month. He has said he’s looking to take the teams on and off ice success to the next level.
