Canada is still reeling after two members of the royal Canadian Air Force were killed when their helicopter crashed into the Ottawa River earlier this week.

Today, the Canadian Armed forces released their names.

Captain David Domagala and Captain Marc Larouche were 32 and 53 years old, respectively.

A native of Woodstock, Ontario, Domagala completed his pilot training and was posted to 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron in 2019. He was recognized with a Commander Commendation from Canadian Joint Operations Command for his work on Operation CALUMET in Egypt.

Larouche, originally of Amos, Quebec, was a private pilot before he joined the RCAF in 1993. Since then, he has served on multiple tours, including internationally in Somalia, and domestically in Operation PODIUM in British Columbia.
