A tourist attraction in Yarmouth County is in need of some work.

The Sandford Drawbridge is classified as the world’s smallest, and draws in people from all over the country and beyond.

Organizer Jennifer White says it could use a paint job and a couple of planks replaced.

“Starting July 6th from 1-4 p.m, and currently I’m available on Thursdays, but I’m open to suggestions if someone has time and wants to go work on it,” said White.

She says once the bridge is painted, it will need to be sealed to protect it from weather damage.

“We want to freshen it up and make it appealing to people. I’ve seen folks go up to it and be scared to get on it.”

The drawbridge received over $14,000 in funding for repairs in 2018.
