Officials have recovered the bodies of two missing Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) members in Ontario.

They were among four people on board a CH-147F Chinook helicopter which crashed in the Ottawa River early Tuesday.

Military officials say the helicopter was taking part in a training flight near Garrison Petawawa when the incident occurred.

The two other crew members were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later released.

The identities of the deceased air crew members are not being released at the request of their families.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the RCAF’s Directorate of Flight Safety.
