$345k in drugs seized in Kenora

Ontario Provincial Police in Kenora have taken several hundred thousand dollars worth of drugs off the streets, and an Alberta man into custody, following a call to a hotel in the city last Friday.

Police were called to the hotel around 3:15 p.m. following the discovery of a large quantity of drugs.

A search warrant was quickly secured and executed, allowing officers to locate and seize the drugs which have an estimated street value of $345,000 and include $238k worth of fentanyl, $75k worth of methamphetamine and $32k worth of cocaine.

An undisclosed amount of Canadian currency was also seized.

The 21 year old man faces several charges including:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime

He remains in custody and is expected to appear in court on June 26th.
