Suspect in Bedford high school stabbing pleads not guilty to 11 charges

The 15-year-old charged with attempted murder for the stabbings at a Bedford High School has pleaded not guilty on 11 charges.

The charges were as follows:

  • Attempted murder (2x)
  • Aggravated assault (2x)
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace (2x)
  • Carrying a concealed weapon (2x)
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Possession of a weapon knowing it is unauthorized

The teen stabbed himself and two staff members on March 20 at Charles P. Allen High School putting the school into a hold and secure.

The bail hearing is scheduled for June 28, at 1:30 p.m. in Halifax Provincial Youth Court.

He was also arraigned on a mischief charge not included in the 11 charges mentioned above. The offence date is noted on file is March 2, 2023. This matter will also return to court on June 28.
